Firestone honors 2009 Platinum Partners
|
Newton, MA - March 11, 2010 -
A highlight of this year’s Amusement Expo, March 10 – 12 in Las Vegas, will be the announcement of the 2009 inductees into Firestone Financial’s Platinum Partner Club.
The new Amusement Expo is a joint venture of two recently-joined industry trade organizations, the Amusement and Music Operators Association (AMOA), and the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA). Nine distributors and four manufacturers of coin-operated games, jukeboxes and other amusement equipment are being honored.
Firestone President and CEO David Cohen, who also serves as Chairman of AAMA, said “Platinum Partner Club members are chosen for their innovation and leadership roles in the industry, and for being among Firestone’s top partners during the prior year.”
In addition to an award ceremony, Firestone is making a contribution to the AAMCF (American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation) in honor of the new members, and each company receives a plaque acknowledging their industry leadership and their partnership with Firestone.
Inducted into this year’s Firestone Financial Platinum Partner Club are:
Distributors:
American Vending Sales Brady Distributing Game Exchange of Colorado H. Betti Industries H.A. Franz & CO. Moss Distributing Mountain Coin Machine Distributors Shaffer Distributing Specialty Coin Products
Manufacturers:
AMI Entertainment Network Apple Industries JVL Corporation TouchTunes Music Corporation
David Cohen, noting the tough economic times, applauded all coin-op industry manufacturers “for staying on course, for continuing their innovation and new product development “that keeps the excitement going that stimulates sales – which in turn provides new products for distributors to sell and operators to place on their routes.” He cited the unique, subsidized finance promotions that serve as a vehicle to provide incremental sales.
Cohen commended the distributors for providing customers with the equipment and service they need to run and grow their businesses. “It is your salesmanship and relationships with the operators that have allowed all of us to be part of this industry.
Cohen also thanked both groups for their long-time relationships and for the business they do with Firestone. He said Firestone has been doing business with some for over 30 years. “We must be doing something right,” Cohen said.
