Firestone Announces 2008 Inductees into its Platinum Partner Club

12 Coin-Op Companies Selected for Honor
For the third year, Firestone Financial has honored a group of vendor-partners into its Platinum Partner Club. The announcement was made by Firestone President and CEO David S. Cohen during the 2009 ASI show in Las Vegas.
Vendors inducted into Firestone’s 2008 Platinum Partner Club are: American Vending Sales, Brady Distributing, Greater Southern Distributing, H. Betti Industries, H.A. Franz & CO., JVL Corporation, Merit Entertainment, Moss Distributing, Mountain Coin Machine Distributors, Shaffer Distributing, Specialty Coin Products, and TouchTunes Music Corporation
“Platinum Partner Club honorees are chosen for their innovation and leadership roles in the industry, and for being among Firestone’s top partners during the previous 12 months,” David Cohen said. He said some of the recipients are relatively new partners while others have been doing business with Firestone for three decades or more. Cohen is Treasurer and a Board Member of the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA), the ASI show sponsor.
In honor of the recipients, Firestone is making a contribution to the American Amusement Machine Charitable Foundation (AAMCF). Each honoree received a plaque for display in their offices acknowledging their industry leadership and their partnership with Firestone.
Cohen noted, “The coin-op industry is not immune to the slumping economy which has made it especially challenging for many. We know the financial landscape has changed dramatically. But unlike many banks, we have strong funding relationships and money to lend. And because of our decades of experience in this industry, we know how to structure financing that truly works for our customers.”
Cohen commended Platinum Partner manufacturers for their innovation, new product development, and for working with Firestone to develop subsidized finance promotions as a vehicle to provide incremental sales. He commended distributors for providing customers with the equipment and service they need to run and grow their businesses.
